The unique Backwash Filter System allows liquid flow to be reversed manually, as desired, to self-clean for reuse of our Accufit® Welded Expanded Media filter bags with a Backwash Insert.
The process reverses the direction in which liquid flows through the filter, dislodging contaminants and solids that have accumulated on the surface of the filter bag(s). The inlet and outlet valves are closed to suspend regular filtration flow; followed by opening the backwash header valves to initiate the backflow process.
During the Backflow Process, filter bags are held securely in place by the support basket working in conjunction with a Filter Backwash Insert, as shown. This allows contaminants to be cleaned from the filters surface, extending its life for reuse.
